Bryan Insurance Group traces its roots in Blount County back in 1921 as Gillespie Insurance Agency. Through the years, the company’s name changed as partnerships were established with the Blazer Agency, Crum Insurance Agency, and Hitson Insurance yet continued to remain a locally-owned reputable business.
Our growth.
In 2014, current Owner Matthew Bryan brought his expertise in the insurance industry to the table and later purchased Hitson Insurance in January 2016. Hitson Insurance merged with Crum & Blazer to become Hitson, Crum & Blazer Insurance, Inc. in January 2017. Matthew Bryan re-aligned the company as the name Bryan Insurance Group, Inc. in 2018 and opened an additional location in Knoxville’s Farragut area to serve more clients throughout East Tennessee. In 2021, Matthew Bryan partnered with Jack Jones and purchased Bradley Insurance Company. An agency that has been serving Bradley County and East Tennessee for 46 years.
